2010 Cattle Country Stampede

Jason and I were so sad to miss the Cattle Country Stampede in Dimmitt this year.  I tried to devise a plan that would deposit Tru and me on Mom's and Dad's doorstep in time for the ride, but I couldn't figure out how to get El Lightning McSpeedy there.  So, alas.  We had to ride vicariously through Dad, who had a fantastic ride, by the way.

Our buddy Chaun Gunstream put on a great event!  Thanks for doing all the work, Chaun.  It really is a super ride, on great roads, at a wonderful time of year, with fabulous people.  Please keep it going!  I know it will continue to grow as it becomes a fixture on the September calender.  We can't wait to ride it again as soon as we're back that way.

P.S. Thanks Mom and Chaun for the T-shirts!!! :)

P.P.S.  Enjoy the pics.  I re-captioned them. :)

Dad:  ready for a great ride!

Ready to roll!

Off we go!

Oh, blessed sight.

Dad and Chaun leaving a little late...?

Mmm...nummies...

Everyone loves a good rest stop.

What is this thing doing?!

Halfway there

What a great ride!!!  (And not a hair out of place.)

Aunt Karron, the Volunteer, runs a tight ship.  Thanks for taking care of all the cyclists, Aunt Karron!
