Truie turned 10 months old today. He is a BIG boy, and he would like all his faithful readers to know that. I absolutely cannot believe how big he is...where did my little baby go? Everytime someone asks me how old he is when we're in public, they are shocked - apparently he looks like an 18-month old.
What he's up to:
Wearing 18-24 month clothes
Still has 6 teeth
Still wearing his cranial band. He has improved 20% so far. He has 2 more months to go, and if he improves 50%, he'll be within statistical norms.
Still will not eat finger foods or drink from a sippy cup.
Napping twice a day - a short 30-min one before our morning activity (gym, MOPS, or bible study) and a longer one at about 1130 (anywhere from 1 hr to 2 hrs).
Crawling! He took his first crawling steps the day he turned 9 months old (hours after I posted that blog). Rant Rabbie was here to witness it.
...and by crawling, I mean crawling everywhere and getting into everything
Houdini figured out how to escape his crib, so now the mattress is as low as it will go...I think he feels like he's in prison. Since he can't see us when we walk in anymore, he pulls down the bumper to peak between the slats when he hears us open the door. One little eyeball, on target. There's no sneaking past him.
We're not sure HOW Houdini got out since he can't pull to standing yet...
He is tiring of his Jumperoo now that he has found freedom in movement. What will I do?!
Chasing Harley the Cat all over the house. She loves it. She lets him get within about 12 inches, then moves a few more feet away. Repeat. They could go on for hours.
Giving kisses! When I lean in for a kiss, he leans in and lets me smooch him. I could do THAT for hours! So sweet. :)
Playing our new game of 8 Seconds: he likes to stand at the Jumperoo and hold on to the vertical pole, switching hands back and forth. The unused hand sticks straight up in the air like he's riding a bull.
Still enjoying a great game of Chase with Momma and Daddy. It's perfect for once he's entered his Mr. Crankypants time of day.
We've also learned that he loves the camera...for real. If I pull it out, he starts posing. That's one of the only ways I can make him stay still and stop squirming and crawling everywhere. Observe:
