Last Day of School, 17 May 2012

Today was Truett's last day of Mother's Day Out for the 2011-12 school year!  Let's compare it to the first day of school here.  I put him in the same clothes so we could compare. :)  It is the first time he has worn these pants since the FIRST day of school because the damage he did to them on the playground was not to be removed by any of our 18 stain removers.

How today is different than 25 Aug 2011:

1.  He is walking!  And running, climbing, hopping, etc.
2.  He runs toward his classroom and not away from it.
3.  He is talking!
4.  He is at least 2.5" taller.  Those same pants had to be cuffed twice on the First Day!
5.  He is giving me the same, "Could you PLEASE get that camera out of my face?!" look.
6.  He knows his colors.
7.  He knows his numbers.
8.  He knows his letters.
9.  He can count to 14 (because that's how many stairs we have, and we count them a jillion times a day).
10.  He can read several sight words:  hat, dog, cat, do, I, ham, dark, car, sitting, teeth, drinking, horse, teeth, fish, boat, goat, drum, fingers, duck, cup, ball, etc.
11.  He brushes with REAL big boy toothpaste.
12.  He is very interested in the potty.
