Costume Day

Tru had Costume Day at school this week, and Momma was SO excited.  She came prepared with the fancy camera and sat in the parking lot for 30 minutes so she could get a good vantage point for the Parade.

The anticipation mounted.  She was worried that when Tru saw her, he'd run to her for hugs and kisses and wouldn't want to go back to class.

Following is what REALLY happened...

The door opened, and Tru's class was the first one out... 

Quick!  Ready the camera!  Momma sees Tru's face in the crowd...but he's not looking at her.  "Truett!  Truett!!!  TRUETT!!!!!"

Teacher:  "Truett, your Momma's calling you!"  

Truett:  Oh nuts.  Crazy Lady is here.  With the camera.

Cody, hide me!  HIDE ME, CODY!

Do.Not.Make.Eye.Contact.

 Oh, look!  Grass!  (Momma:  "TRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUETT!  OVER HEEEEEEEEEEEEERE!")

So.Embarassing.  "Do it fast, Momma."

"Time's up.  We ARE in public."

 Phew.  Made it.  Is she gone yet?  (Momma:  "Momma LOVES YOU, TRUETT!!!!")
