Bison and Meers

Hello again!

We took a trip with friends yesterday to Meers, OK. They have a restaurant out there that serves excellent 8" longhorn burgers and homemade peach cobbler. It's kind of a hole-in-the-wall place but the atmosphere and food is really great.

Part of what makes the restaurant so popular is the scenery on the way out there - it's on the other side of a federal reserve which is home to many buffalo and longhorns as well as other interesting animals and, as you can see, they're free to roam wherever they wish.

Every once in a while, we're reminded that our back yard is a farm field...apparently, these guys can go allllll night.

Next weekend is our first official bike race/ride and we're very excited about it! It's a 40-mile ride so we've been trying to prepare for it - we've been riding together about every other day the last few weeks for about 30 miles.

Wish us luck! :)

Thanks for the update and new posting!

The yellow shirts remind me of a line I once heard in a movie...

"Pizza for Lance!"
