Birthday Fun

I had the BEST birthday this year!  The fact that I wasn't confined to a wheelchair or scooting around with a walker or jillions of miles away from Jason began the fabulosity.  Then, Jason took me to the Switchfoot/Jars of Clay/Third Day concert in OKC.  We were up close and personal in the third row.  I'm not even kidding when I say Jon Foreman almost ran into me!  Unfortunately, we forgot the camera, so there is no proof except for the terrible cell phone shots I got.  Anyone know how to download pics from a Razor phone?

THEN for my actual birthday, my parents came to visit.  They treated us to a steak dinner at the trusty ol' Backdoor Steakhouse in Blair.  After that we had champagne and homemade chocolate cake, followed by PRESENTS!  I got everything I wanted. :)  I guess the Wish List with the hyperlinks emailed out to strategic family members was a good idea...heh heh. :)  We ended the evening with a movie of my choice (aka Chick Flick - Made of Honor) of which my Dad nobly made it through the first 5 minutes.  Jason, the ever-kind husband, selflessly stuck it out for the whole thing with Mom and me. :)

On Sunday, we all went to church and then to Lawton for our band concert.  It was a total blast from the past!  One of the band members - an 18-year veteran of the Army band - even asked me for horn lessons.  Ha!  We start next week. :)

Here are some pics!

My entire family got me cards with cats on them....:)  The one from Abbie even meowed the entire Happy Birthday song, complete with, "And many more!"
