Carving Party!

Our freinds Nick and Julie Schindler decided to begin a new tradition of having a Halloween Carving Party.  They invited Jason and me along with our friends Ben and Natalie Shaub.  We had a great time carving our pumpkins (though I will never, ever, ever again trust Martha Stewart when she says somethng is 'easy'), eating the yummy food Nick and Julie made, toasting marshmallows in the fire pit, telling 'ghost' stories, and playing with little Maddie and Isabella.

We are so blessed to have such great friends!  (Martha is not one of them.)

What's so funny?

It was the boys' job to clean out the pumpkin innards, and the girls' job to carve.  Julie and Natalie, who did NOT pick Martha Stewart ideas, were completely done in about half an hour.  I may or may not have completely given up, cursing Martha, and Jason had to finish it.

Fire pit.
Taking credit. :)  That's Natalie's Bat, my (ok, JASON'S) Cat, and Julie's Happy Jack.

Weenie roast.

Stupid Martha.

Your pumpkin looks good. I would have cursed Martha as well though. Looks like fun!
