Christmas 2012

Here's my Christmas post...better late than never! :)  We had a great time in Lubbock with the entire family for Christmas!  It was a great time of relaxation and fellowship.  Unfortunately, at least half of us got sick.  I was down for the count from the minute our plane touched down in Texas.  But there is no better place to be sick than in your Mom's home. :)

Aunt Ricke and Uncle Glen came up for the festivities.  We also made it to Dimmitt to see the extended fam, though I don't have any pictures of that (I was either in the van or on Aunt Karron's bed trying to die I was so sick).

Here are some pictures of the fun things we did!

We wanted to finish strong with Truth in the Tinsel, so we brought our materials with us.  Here we all are making salt dough ornaments for the tree.  Granddad had set up a table in the garage, and it was PERFECT for all our crafts.  Thanks, Granddad!

The cousins after they put their ornaments on the tree.

 Cuties.

On Christmas Eve, we read the same exact version of the Night Before Christmas that Jack, Abbie, and I read as kids (thanks, eBay!).  Then we talked about how we have to be good to get presents from Santa, but that the best Christmas present of all time was Jesus...and we don't have to be good to receive Jesus, because God loved us while we were yet sinners.

After we prayed thanking God for sending Jesus to us, we went outside to sprinkle the reindeer food in the street so Santa could find the house.  The kids LOVED it.

Before bed, we assembled the snacks for Santa and his reindeer:  banana bread, cookies, milk, and carrots.  Natalie wrote the note.

 Christmas morning!

Natalie knitted scarves for ALL 13 of us!!!  Tru loved his.  He still likes to wear it around the house.

Welcome to the family, Matt! :)

Cars! :)

Here are are in the matching Christmas pajamas I made!  Thanks for chipping in for the fabric, Rant!  And thanks everyone for being good sports. :)

Thank you for hosting Christmas, Moo and Dad!  We had a great time.  Let's not get sick next time, though, okay? :)
