As the Dust Settles

As of last night, we hit a big milestone:  we are officially moved in - all of the boxes are unpacked and everything is pretty much where it it’s supposed to be.  This does wonders for our peace of mind.  Even Truett seems more at peace with his new home:Tru Hang On

I must caveat that last picture with this piece of advice:  Never take a picture of a sleeping baby in a perfectly quiet room.  When the silence was split by what had to be the loudest camera shutter sound ever, he absolutely came out of his skin – good thing he was strapped in to that seat!

Today, Truett bears the emblem of the Texas Rangers so he can show his Grandpa what a big fan he is!

So as Truett was showing off one of his outfits, Tru Nice Crib

he decided to participate in a game we call “follow the weird noise maker that Daddy is holding”:

In Transit

Well folks, here we are in the great City of Lubbock. Our household goods delivery has been delayed almost a week so we’ll relax here with the Padres and enjoy some time with Jason’s family before we hit the road to Montgomery.

Tru's Big Weekend

This past weekend was a big one in the Brown household!  Rant Rabbie came to visit us for the first time in over 2 years...and she met Tru for the first time!  My parents and Aunt Ricke and Uncle Glen also came in to help us celebrate Abbie's birthday, Mother's Day, and Tru's baby dedication at church.  We had a great time, even if we were a little bit rushed.

Rant Rabbie and Tru finally meet!

Abbie's yummy birthday cake!

"Oh, Bunny - that was a good one!"

Tummy time!

I like a good Pooh story after bath.

I can track my mobile now. :)

Play Date

With Tru as my sidekick, I have now started to be invited to play dates!  Most of my friends have 2-year-old girls...and Tru doesn't mind all the attention from the older ladies one bit.

Julie and Tara watched Tru for me while I went to the doctor.  This is how Tru looks when Maddie sings "Jesus Loves Me" to him. :)

A Month Already?

Wow - Apparently, time flies when you're having...trouble sleeping?  We can't believe Tru's already a month old!  Here are some pics:

Tru's new play gym - as you can see, he L-O-V-E-S it.

Laura loves this picture: "Do I HAVE to wear this bunny ear hat to church???"

Tru's 3-week picture has a special bonus:  Proof that the "thumb tuck" comes from his Momma:

Here's our little man at a whopping 4 weeks - is Dosy getting smaller yet?

Bonus:  Tru rockin' the man-dress.  He sure is cute when he's asleep!

2 Weeks and Change

Our little boy is growing up so fast...probably has something to do with his voracious appetite. Here he is in his weekly "Incredibly Shrinking Dosy" picture...

Happy Easter!

Baby Truett's looking good as we prepare to venture to church for the first time since the big day!

You can see where he gets his good looks:

A few months back, we decided to cap the number of toys given to Tru Dog at 1. A tennis ball. That's all he gets so he won't get spoiled. As you can see, Gramoo, fulfilling her duties as a grandparent, has already begun to spoil him:

Here's hoping your Resurrection Day went as well as ours - Happy Easter!
