Now that I'm in the blogging groove, perhaps I should do some catching up!
In November, Aunt Ricke came to visit us while Jason was out of town. It sure was GREAT having her here!!! She must have cooked us at least 10 gourmet meals so we would have plenty of leftovers in the freezer. There was also lots of shopping, some sewing, lounging on the couch chatting, playing with Tru, and she even babysat him so Jason and I could go out to dinner to celebrate our anniversary! (He was here for just one night during her visit.) It has been a very long time since I had Aunt Ricke all to myself (like back in our Weatherford days in the early '90s), and I enjoyed it so very, very much. I asked her to come help me out around the house because that was right after Tru's (erroneous) diagnosis as being autistic, and I felt very overwhelmed by all the research I wanted to do all while trying to run a household while emotionally on the edge.
Thank you, Aunt Ricke, for coming! I am so blessed to have you in my life. I praise God for you and am so humbled you would take time out of your busy schedule to spend it with me. I love you!
I should also note that Mom, Abbie, and Jenna were also a HUGE help to us during those 5 weeks of craziness!!! I must have talked each of their ears off endlessly, and it was usually very ugly talk coming out of a frustrated heart. Thank you for listening to me, encouraging me, praying for me, and for the AWESOME meals from Time for Dinner!!! I love you!
Oh, and of course I forgot to get the camera out during Aunt Ricke's visit until her last day here. I got one good shot of her playing with Tru, which can represent all the Lego towers she built with him, etc etc. :)
